Examples of the style are late and legendary artists Marty Robbins and Tex Ritter. Example in global hit songs, ‘Seven Spanish Angels’ with Willie Nelson and the late and legendary Ray Charles, Toby Keith’s ‘Should Have Been A Cowboy’, and Royal Wade Kimes’ ‘On The Border’.
The highly regarded and founder of the association Royal Wade Kimes known around the world as ‘The Gentleman Outlaw’, recognized the empty and massive void of true country and a complete absence of cowboy-flavored songs. He decided to do something about it by forming the Pro Cowboy Country Artist Association. (PCCAA)
The awards show for the PCCAA will be live around the globe through radio and every negotiating effort is being made to bring television media on board.
