Great theme, song selection and artists . A wonderful ambience of music and artistry!

I've been in the music business many years. Started writing songs for Garth Brooks and others before I began my own recording career with "Another Man's Sky" on Warner in the late 90's. Being a writer and an artist combined, i got to knowing what resonated with my fans. A DJ, if he or she is a good one and is listening to the fan, well, they learn that too. CowTrails Radio Show seems to have done that. People are tuned into the Western Belle while the rest of radio cries for ratings. Shows that make it, like CowTrails, only make it because the one bringing it to you loves what they are doing, and cares about their fans. The Western Belle gets a 5 star rating from this cowboy.

There is no more dedicated, enthusiastic, or knowledgeable supporter of western and cowboy music on the radio today. The stack of awards she has won as a Western Music DJ is testimony to this truth.

Barbara Richhart, the Western Belle of Cowtrails, is the heart of the West and the Cowboy way of life! Country Music started with Western music and Cowboy songs of the life in the West. While the brand of Country Music has progressed over the years the traditional Western and Cowboy music lives on in the music both from the past and present. Cowtrails and Barb continue to keep this music and way of life alive every day both on the air and in daily life.

Cowtrails doesn't just bring Western music to listeners, it connects listeners and communities together with the music. While the cowboy is the face of the western way of life, the music of the west is what brought the communities together and kept the west moving forward as friends and families.

It is friends like Barb and Kurt that made the West and continue to keep the life of the cowboy and traditional western music alive.

Listening to Cowtrails is one of the major highlights of my week. There are very few broadcast programs available to day that play real western music by musicians who mostly live the life their music represents. To hear real music about real life in the west is such a welcome change from the manufactured so called western music often heard today. Barb’s presentation is heartfelt and knowledgeable and she knows and loves not only the music but she is friends with many of the musicians and is able to offer insights not normally available. Each week she is able to put together a play list representing the best of the best that truly represents the western lifestyle. Her program is truly a gem and I often rearrange my Sunday schedule so I can be available at 12:00 to enjoy her extensive and well balanced play list. I truly believe that there are few if any other programs that present the true West and the stories that represent the day-to-day challenges, tragedies and rewards of both the past and present. A program not to be missed!
